Yesterday, December 29th, 6.2 millimeters of rain fell at Bracken House taking the month’s total to 65.5 millimeters. This total beat the previous 2011 monthly highest total rainfall of 61.8 millimeters, set in February.
This is well short of the all-time highest month rainfall of 118.4 millimeters, set in November 2009.
2011 looks set to fall well short of last year’s total rainfall of 552.6 millimeters. The current rainfall for the year stands at 416.6 millimeters, with just two days to go to 2012.
