May 232012
The depressing May weather finally relented on 22nd May 2012 when the temperature reached 24.3°C at 16:39, making it the warmest day of the year so far. The average temperature for the day was 17.3°C, also a year high.
The temperature was the highest since October 3rd 2011, when the mercury rose to 25.6°C.
With fine weather expected for several days, the average temperature for the month should reach what is normally expected for May. So much for wild reports from so called ‘weather experts’ that May would be the coldest for 100 years.
